100 Happy Days – Day 33
Happiness is Love, Love is…
I am a collector of weird things. As a child, I used to have a load of crap – feathers, flowers, pebbles, stones, chocolate wrappers, notebook covers, bus tickets – in the lowermost section of my wardrobe. They weren’t wastes, but my collections. Don’t ask me! I have no idea and I’m proud of it. 😛 My grandmother had a tough time cleaning my wardrobe every month. No. Not proud of that!
This habit still continues. I have chucked pebbles and feathers and moved on to greater things. Quotes, diaries, tickets to places (to preserve the memories) being some of them. I also collect images, some cute, some beautiful. I don’t mean babies and scenery. Just things that strike a chord. It could be anything. These were such images that I found on my aimless browsing. I did some research out of curiosity and learnt that there is a site hj-story.com where you get these cute illustrations.
It is about Love. Many may think these are too cheesy. They are. But what is wrong with that? Judging people who love is easy. But loving and keeping the relationship going isn’t. One needs to be cheesy at times.
As I browsed through these images, I realized that there are many things here that some couples never do. For instance, appreciating. Be it his/her looks, cooking, work or any thing about him/her. A daily dose of appreciation could work magic.
He loves bikes. Strike a conversation about bikes and listen to him elaborate. You may not understand a word. But his excitement and actions could make you smile. If she loves reading, try to get to know her favorite genre, favorite book and get her talking about it. Watch her jabber animatedly. Neither of you ‘have’ to love what the other loves, simply appreciate their love and show some interest.
Watch your love, observe your love, tend to your love, mend your love, else you may never see this happen.
Look at him read the newspaper, look at her sleeping. Look at him watch TV, look at her reading. Look at him get ready for work, look at her while she eats food.
Try talking with your love about your firsts, the romantic meets, little moments that gave you so much joys, the surprises, the birthdays, anniversaries…
If you feel you have to, ignite the spark. Go down the cheesy lane and spread some love. After all, as someone sang, no reason for love, no season for love…

Aww… your comments make this post proud 🙂 I compiled these images because they had so much impact in me. As you said, it was very much touching and meaningful. The fact that it hit you in the same strong way makes me feel happy 🙂 It is not always that a writer’s intentions are understood with similar depth 🙂 Thanks a ton!
